Examples · not named contractors
Three files a shop like yours would have kept.
These are composite examples built from typical Front Range and Middle Tennessee jobs. Names, streets, and claim numbers are fictional. Swap them for a real file when you have one we can publish.
Example 01 · Aurora, CO
28-square steep-slope, insurance-funded then produced
Hail. Residential shop already had the owner. Carrier first scope left drip edge, starter at rakes, steep on two planes, and cap as cut-from-field.
- Confirmed construction-cost delta at the loaded price list: $6,840
- Tear-off addendum next afternoon: 3 sheets of decking, photographed in place
- Shop produced. Material list ran through their branch.
- OnRamp stayed on as the desk. Shop produced. Fee billed to the contractor, not the owner.
Composite example. Not a published settlement and not a promise that every 28-square file moves this number.
Example 02 · Murfreesboro, TN
22,400 SF TPO, estimate before they bid
Owner-operator was going to pass the call. Drawings showed a recover. Cores the contractor already had said wet iso on the west half.
- Takeoff split recover vs tear-off so they could bid the job that was actually there
- Local wage logic, not a national TPO unit dumped on Rutherford County
- Material list written to the branch they already buy from
- They bid. They kept the owner. We did not.
Composite example. Installed totals live on the contractor’s proposal, not on this page.
Example 03 · Branch intro
One forwarded URL, two plans in
Territory rep sent the intro page to two residential accounts that had just declined commercial calls. Both sent the last job they walked away from.
- Quote before any fee on both
- One estimate-only, one estimate plus production attach
- Both material lists named the forwarding branch
- No exclusive. No house account.
Composite example of the distributor motion. Replace with a named branch when they say yes to being listed.
